An ancestry gift that tells the story, not just the tree

If someone in your family has already built a tree on FamilySearch or Ancestry, or taken a DNA test, the next gift is the story behind those names. Forebear Films researches the records for one ancestor or line and turns them into a short animated film with a script your family approves. Black Friday prices start at $599, delivered by December 20 for orders through November 30, 2026.

From tree to story

A tree shows who and when. We go back to the records behind it to find what happened: where a family lived, when they moved, who travelled together. Every claim in the film comes with a sourced fact sheet so you can check it yourself.

Using what they've already found

FamilySearch IDs save research time. If your tree lives elsewhere, send the names, dates and places you have.

Honest about AI

We use AI tools for animation, voices and music, directed and checked by people at every step. We label it on screen and never present it as hand-drawn.

Questions

What are good ancestry gift ideas?
DNA tests, records memberships, framed trees and history books are common. For someone who already has the data, a researched story of one ancestor, told as a film, adds something new.
Do you use Ancestry or FamilySearch?
Share FamilySearch IDs if you have them, or the names, dates and places from any tree.
Can you make a film from DNA results alone?
DNA results alone usually aren't enough. We need names and places to research; tell us what you know and we'll say honestly what's possible.
What does it cost?
Keepsake $599 (reg. $750), Chapter $1,599 (reg. $2,000), Feature $3,999 (reg. $5,000) through November 30, 2026.
